Job summary

Wärtsilä Corporation in Vancouver area seeks a DevOps Engineer to design, maintain, and improve cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines for the Digital Port Solutions portfolio.

You will focus on Microsoft Azure, CI/CD automation, containerized deployments, monitoring, and secure identity management. The ideal candidate has hands-on cloud experience and a passion for reliability and automation.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering or related roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including deployment, configuration, and operations.
• Proven experience building CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Azure AD / identity management / OAuth / OpenID Connect / SSO.
• Knowledge of containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes/AKS).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (ARM, Bicep, Terraform).
• Solid scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, YAML).

Responsibilities

• Azure Cloud Infrastructure: manage and optimise Azure environments for staging, testing, and production deployments.
• CI/CD Pipeline Ownership: design, build, and maintain pipelines using Azure DevOps; automate build, test, deployment, and rollback processes.
• Identity & Security: implement and support identity integrations using Azure AD, IntraID, OAuth/OpenID Connect; ensure secure access control.
• Infrastructure as Code: develop IaC using ARM templates, Bicep, Terraform; ensure reproducibility of deployments.
• Monitoring & Reliability: configure monitoring, alerting, dashboards; support incident response and issue prevention.
• Collaboration & Support: work with developers, QA, architects and delivery teams; provide DevOps guidance.
