Job summary

Saskatchewan Distance Learning Centre seeks a permanent, full-time Systems Developer to manage the Azure cloud data platform, automate tasks, and support education applications like DLCgo and Moodle. The role also covers HRIS, attendance apps, and third-party integrations, with collaboration across the IT service desk and other stakeholders.

The position requires strong scripting in Python/PowerShell/PHP, SQL proficiency, and experience with data visualization tools.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
3+ years of technical programmer/analyst experience.
Familiarity with K-12 education systems and data analysis requirements.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements and design data solutions for K-12 education.
Develop, implement, and maintain data integrations between software applications used in K-12 education.
Use Python, PowerShell, PHP to automate tasks and improve efficiency.
Create and optimize SQL queries for data retrieval and reporting.
Test and debug software applications and automations to resolve issues.
Plan, design, and implement IT hardware, software and infrastructure solutions.
Produce reports and analysis for improvements in statistics and user access.
