Job summary

Pacer Group in Toronto area is seeking a data engineering contractor on a hybrid model (3-4 days per week) for a 6–12 month engagement. The role targets 7+ years in data engineering and data warehousing with strong Azure Data Platform experience, including Databricks, PySpark, and ADF.

The successful candidate will design scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using ADLS, Python, and SQL; implement Autosys for job scheduling and monitoring; and contribute to performance optimization across Spark-based

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Data Engineering and Data Warehousing.
• 5+ years with Azure Data Platform technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks, PySpark and ADF.
• Experience with Autosys for job scheduling, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of Spark architecture, distributed computing, and performance optimization.
• Experience with MySQL, data quality validation, Git/Azure DevOps, and technical leadership.

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3-4 days a week)

Employment Type: Contract

Duration: 06-12 Months

Pay Rate: CAD 50-55/hour Incorporated
