Job summary

EY Canada in Ottawa is seeking a Cloud Architect/Manager to plan and design technology solutions for client engagements. The role involves leading cloud assessments, architecture workshops, and translating findings into transformation roadmaps across Azure and AWS, with a strong emphasis on AI-enabled platforms and responsible AI.

You will establish reusable patterns, IaC, GitOps, and CI/CD, while building scalable cloud solutions and guiding multidisciplinary teams through complex cloud

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of deep technology experience at very large enterprises or web scale product companies.
• 3–5 years of architecture, design, implementation, and/or support of highly distributed applications on cloud.
• Strong executive communication, stakeholder management and ability to translate technology strategy into actionable roadmaps.

Responsibilities

• Lead cloud assessments, architecture workshops and technical strategy discussions, translating findings into actionable transformation roadmaps.
• Lead the initiatives to identify right set of cloud technologies and drive templatization and automation for scale across products.
• Architect & Design cloud solutions (Azure/AWS) that are optimal, secure, scalable, and compliant with EY standards.
• Architect and build AI-enabled cloud platforms using AI Engineering best practices, including LLMs, RAG and agents.
• Operationalize AI solutions through automated delivery, guardrails and AI observability.
• Establish reusable cloud platform patterns, Infrastructure as Code, GitOps, CI/CD and engineering automation.
• Design strategies and tools to deploy, monitor, and administer Cloud applications and services.
• Architect and implement DevOps processes and CI/CD pipelines using VSTS, Jira, Ansible, Jenkins, Chef.
• Build quick POCs and write some code for exploring new technology solutions.
