Midland Transport in Concord, ON seeks a Class AZ Yard Shunt Driver to safely move trailers within the terminal, position them at dock doors, and perform yard checks and inspections. The role requires a valid AZ license and 2+ years of tractor-trailer experience, with a focus on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Valid Class AZ driver's license.
• Minimum 2 years of safe tractor-trailer driving experience; shunting is a plus.
• Clean driver's abstract and criminal record check.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow safety procedures.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs with appropriate equipment.

Responsibilities

• Safely move, position, and manage trailers within the terminal yard and at dock doors.
• Conduct yard checks, equipment inspections, and monitor/refuel refrigerated units as required.
• Complete pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections in compliance with regulations.
• Load, unload, and move freight using pallet jacks as needed.
• Maintain equipment and comply with safety regulations and company policies.
• Communicate with Supervisors and Operations staff; report incidents or safety concerns.
