Job summary

Advantage Personnel is seeking an AZ Propane Tanker Driver for a temporary ongoing assignment in Canada. This role involves 12-14 hour shifts, 3-4 per week, with a sleeper berth truck and long-haul trips starting from Ottawa area terminals.

You'll deliver propane to commercial customers, perform pre- and post-trip inspections, and complete all TDG/WHMIS safety requirements. AZ license and 3+ years’ experience, plus a clean record, are required.

Qualifications

• AZ license with 3+ years of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Clean driver's abstract, CVOR, and criminal record check.
• Willingness to work on a rotating 4 days on / 4 days off schedule, including some holidays.
• Comfortable with long-haul / OTR work and overnight stays in the truck.

Responsibilities

• Operate a propane tanker truck safely and efficiently to deliver to customers.
• Complete required documentation, including EL D logs and trip reports.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report issues promptly.
• Comply with transportation regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
• Identify and address safety hazards during deliveries.
• Maintain knowledge of TDG, WHMIS and other safety protocols.

Job Title: AZ Propane Tanker Driver

Job Type: Temporary Ongoing

Hourly Pay Rate: $32/hour + Overtime after 60 hours - Payroll only

Schedule: 3-4 shifts per week, 12-14 hours per shift (day or night), sleeper berth truck

This role will support in making propane deliveries to commercial customers throughout Ottawa and nearby regions. Drivers will start their routes from one of their designated terminals in Nappanee, ON.

This role involves extended trips - typically four consecutive days on the road - requiring flexibility, professionalism, and a strong commitment to safe operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a propane tanker truck safely and efficiently, ensuring prompt delivery to assigned customers.
• Complete all required documentation, including accurate ELD logs and trip reports.
• Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, promptly reporting any mechanical or safety issues.
• Comply with all transportation regulations, company policies, and industry safety standards.
• Identify and address potential safety hazards during deliveries.
• Maintain current knowledge of TDG, WHMIS, and other relevant safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• Valid AZ license with at least 3 years of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Clean driver's abstract, CVOR, and criminal record check (mandatory).
• Willingness to work on a rotating schedule of 4 days on, 4 days off, including some statutory holidays.
• Comfortable with long-haul / OTR (Over-The-Road) work and overnight stays in the truck.
