Job Description

Start time between 2:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m.
4 day work week between Monday to Friday

Position Purpose: Food and food service delivery drivers fulfill a critical role in the country's food supply chain. Our delivery drivers ensure products arrive at their destinations on time and in good condition, and they are the face of our company—building lasting relationships with customers.

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Drive tractor trailers or straight trucks on local, over-the-road, shuttle, and overnight routes to deliver and unload food products safely and timely.
  2. Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and co-workers, ensuring questions are answered accurately and promptly.
  3. Perform safety checks before and after trips, including inspections of vehicles and trailers, and report safety issues or repairs.
  4. Follow all safety regulations and company policies, report hazards immediately.
  5. Inspect trailers for proper loading and securing of freight, perform count checks, and verify customer invoices.
  6. Complete all required paperwork accurately and legibly.
  7. Load and unload products, verify deliveries with customers, obtain signatures, and handle payments if required.
  8. Manage customer returns and damaged goods, ensuring proper documentation.
  9. Maintain cleanliness and security of equipment and trailers, and perform daily logs and other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
  • 6+ months commercial driving experience
  • Must be 21+ years old
  • Meet licensing and certification requirements
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report for the past 3 years
  • Pass criminal background check and road test
  • Ability to lift and move freight of varying size and weight
Preferred Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
  • 1+ years foodservice distribution experience
  • Experience with onboard computer and electronic log systems (e.g., PeopleNet)
  • Experience with point of delivery scanning systems (e.g., POD)
  • Customer service experience
