Job summary

Annapolis Valley Regional Centre for Education is seeking qualified substitute teachers to support classrooms across the region. Applicants must hold a valid Nova Scotia teaching certificate and be prepared to provide updated background checks and registry clearances as part of the process.

The role requires strong classroom management, adaptability across grade levels, and the ability to integrate technology to enhance learning.

Qualifications

• Valid teacher certification for the Province of Nova Scotia (must be attached to your application).
• Up to date Criminal Record Check (including vulnerable sector) and Child Abuse Registry Check will be required.
• Methodology courses, experience, or practicum teaching in the subject area(s) at the appropriate level for the competition.
• Excellent classroom and student management skills.
• Knowledge and experience in the application of technologies used to enhance instruction and learning.
• Knowledge and/or experience in implementing inclusive teaching and assessment strategies.
