Job summary

Liberty Mutual Canada is seeking an AVP, Executive Underwriter to lead underwriting for a Prairie Region portfolio including Property, Casualty, P&C Package, Umbrella and Excess Liability. You will coach staff, manage broker/client relationships and contribute to regional growth strategies.

The role emphasizes risk selection, profitable terms, and collaboration with internal teams to drive performance and professional development.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years’ experience underwriting commercial P&C insurance.
• Post-secondary education; insurance designation(s) asset.
• Strong understanding of policy wordings and claims impact.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of new and renewal P&C business for profitable growth.
• Collaborate with risk services, actuary, claims for profitability.
• Coach and mentor team members on underwriting and development.
