Job summary

Aversan Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to oversee the development and execution of safety-critical avionics programs, coordinating cross-functional teams to meet customer requirements as well as schedule, cost, and quality objectives.

Location is Mississauga, ON, and the role is full-time on-site. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or Computer Engineering and at least two years in project management, with PMP being an asset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Project Management including cost, schedule, resources, and risk management.
• PMP certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead the integrated product development team working on safety-critical avionics systems to meet cost, schedule, and technical objectives.
• Establish and maintain detailed technical plans, estimates, and schedules.
• Coordinate with Systems, Software, Hardware, and Mechanical Engineering teams to drive design, development, integration, and verification activities throughout the product lifecycle.
• Facilitate scope/requirement discussions with technical teams and customers.
• Lead the solution definition process from requirements to production.
• Ensure project objectives are communicated and aligned with the schedule, costs, and risks.
• Track and report program progress, costs, risks, and milestones.
• Lead internal and external design reviews and technical coordination meetings.
• Ensure compliance with Aerospace Engineering Processes.
• Coordinate proposal and quotation activities for RFP/RFI submissions.
