Job summary

Calgary Airports is seeking a Safety, Security, Compliance and Emergency Response professional to design and improve safety programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and support emergency preparedness. The role requires 4–6 years of experience and strong technical writing, with hybrid work arrangement in Alberta.

Candidates must have a post-secondary OH&S diploma and knowledge of Alberta OH&S legislation, Canada Labour Code Part II, and related regulations.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or related discipline.
• 4-6 years of experience developing safety programs, policies, procedures, and training docs.
• Knowledge of Alberta OH&S legislation and Canada Labour Code Part II.
• Exceptional technical writing skills for policies, procedures and training materials.
• Proficiency with MS Office and document management systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and improve OH&S and safety programs to meet regulatory requirements.
• Review legislation and regulatory documents to identify compliance gaps and risks.
• Develop corrective actions, controls, and standardized work practices.
• Develop AVOP standards, training materials, and competency criteria.
• Produce clear policies, manuals, and guidance documents.
• Maintain document governance, version control, and records retention.
