Job summary

Cargojet, Canada's leading overnight air cargo carrier, seeks an experienced HR Business Partner based at our Mississauga head office and the Hamilton station. In this full-time role, you will provide day-to-day HR support and collaborate with management to drive best practices in a fast-paced logistics setting.

Responsibilities include recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance with policies and legislation, and coordination of health and safety programs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of HR experience, preferably in employee relations and/or recruitment.
• CPHR/CHRP/CHRL certification or equivalent.
• Experience in aviation, transportation, or logistics is an asset.
• Strong investigation, negotiation and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to implement HR best practices.

Responsibilities

• Handle full cycle recruitment including job fairs and outreach.
• Facilitate onboarding and offboarding for staff.
• Manage complex employee relations issues and progressive discipline.
• Provide guidance on compliance with policies, processes and legislation.
• Collaborate with leadership to investigate and address issues while ensuring consistency.
• Promote open communication between management and staff; facilitate conversations as needed.
• Coordinate health and safety program participation and reporting.
• Maintain documentation for staff changes and HR processes.
• Support policy enforcement and project implementation as required.
