Job summary

Menzies Aviation LATAM is seeking a dependable team member to ensure smooth tarmac operations in Richmond. This role requires physical stamina, precise cargo handling, and adherence to safety policies while working with freight, pallets, and ULDs.

You will read manifests, operate forklifts, and coordinate with teams to move air freight efficiently, with weekend and holiday shifts possible.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient in reading/writing English.
• Valid driver's license with clean record (last 5 years).
• Able to lift at least 30 kg repeatedly.
• Background check with Transport Canada.
• Cargo experience and forklift certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read air waybills, bills of landing and freight manifests to determine items to be moved.
• Convey freight from receiving areas to storage using forklift or handling equipment.
• Sort and store materials according to destination.
• Sort and store dangerous goods properly.
• Complete requisitions and distribute items to locations.
• Open containers for breakdown and record counts.
• Weigh and count items to ensure conformance with airway bill.
• Perform cargo build-up and breakdowns to/from skid or ULDs.
• Conduct X-ray or other pre-flight checks on cargo as required.
• Maintain clean, hazard-free work areas and follow PPE/safety policies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
