The role requires English fluency, basic French, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift 30 kg. Training and safety policies are provided in a fast-paced aviation environment.

Qualifications

• Proficient speaking, reading, and writing in English.
• Conversational French proficiency.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record over the past five years.
• Available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Able to lift at least 30 kgs continuously.
• Pass Transport Canada background check.
• Prior cargo experience and forklift certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read air waybills, bills of lading and freight manifests to determine items to be moved.
• Convey freight from receiving areas to storage or to other warehouse areas using forklift or other handling equipment.
• Sort and place materials on racks or bins according to destination.
• Sort and store dangerous goods in proper area.
• Complete requisitions and distribute items to locations.
• Open containers and record counts.
• Weigh and count items for distribution to conform to standards.
• Perform cargo build-up and breakdowns, freight to/from skid or pallets.
• Perform X-ray or other pre-flight security checks as required.
• Maintain clean and hazard-free work areas.
• Follow safety policies including PPE and safe lifting.
