Job summary

ParaMed is seeking a Palliative Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to provide community-based nursing visits across Kitchener and Cambridge, with support from RNs for complex cases. The role offers autonomy, work‑life balance, and both full-time and part-time schedules, including every third weekend.

Travel is required to patient homes within the designated area. Compensation ranges from $26.16 to $30.20 per hour, with total rewards including benefits and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Registration with the CNO as a Registered Practical Nurse in good standing.
• Mandatory palliative care experience.
• Post-graduate education in palliative care required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in scheduled visits in the community to look after patient needs within your scope of practice.
• Provide ethical and safe nursing care.
• Use appropriate assessment tools/techniques to assess patients’ individual needs.
• Execute and continuously monitor care plans and adjust as required.
• Engage patients using a collaborative approach by building rapport and trust.
