Job summary

LKQ Canada is seeking an Automotive Yard Dismantler to join our team in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The role involves removing requested parts to fulfill orders, labeling parts for stock, and verifying part quality within safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Remove requested parts to fulfill orders within time constraints.
• Label and tag parts for stock placement.
• Check quality and type of inventoried parts.
• Participate in daily team goals and other duties as assigned.

$20/hr - Mon-Fri(40 hr/wk)

What does a day look like for a Yard Dismantler?

• Remove requested parts to fulfill orders on vehicles within the suggested time constraints in a safety conscious manner,
• Label and tag each part to be placed in stock,
• Check the quality and product type of the inventoried parts,
• Participate in daily team goals, and
• Other duties as assigned.

What is the profile we are looking for?

• Knowledge of automotive parts,
• Diploma in mechanics or bodywork (Strong Asset!),
• Hands-on job experience,
• Ability to work in a team,
• Must be able to lift 50lbs without restrictions, and
• Must own and maintain all the tools necessary.

Job Requirements

Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment: Sits, stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during working hours. Is subject to frequent interruptions. Is subject to intense physical labour, repetitive lifting. Must be able to lift at least 50-75 lbs.

Working Conditions: Employees are regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and occasionally exposed to extreme cold & extreme heat. The noise level is moderately loud.
