Job summary

LKQ Corporation in Alberta is hiring an Automotive Dismantler to join our team. You will remove requested parts to fulfill orders, dismantle drivetrain assemblies, label parts, and help meet daily goals in a safety‑minded environment.

Ideal candidates have hands‑on automotive repair experience, knowledge of automotive parts, the ability to lift up to 75 lbs, and own tools. This is a permanent full‑time role with benefits after three months and opportunities for growth.

• Diploma in mechanics or bodywork is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Remove requested parts to fulfill orders on vehicles within the suggested time constraints in a safety conscious manner.
• Dismantle drivetrain assemblies into components after assemblies have been removed from the vehicle.
• Label and tag each part to be placed in stock.
• Check the quality and product type of the inventoried parts.
• Participate in daily team goals.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Yard Dismantler is responsible for properly removing all high-quality auto parts and usable core parts in a safe, efficient, and proper manner. We are seeking a highly motivated individual who must work in a fast-paced environment, is hardworking, and who can successfully meet production quotas. You must be able to multitask, communicate well with others, have hands‑on automotive repair experience with a knowledge of automobiles. What does a day look like for a Dismantler?

• Remove requested parts to fulfill orders on vehicles within the suggested time constraints in a safety conscious manner,
• Individual will be primarily responsible for dismantling drivetrain assemblies into components after assemblies have been removed from the vehicle.
• Label and tag each part to be placed in stock,
• Check the quality and product type of the inventoried parts,

What is the profile we are looking for?

Job Requirements

Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment: Sits, stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during working hours. Is subject to frequent interruptions. Is subject to intense physical labour, repetitive lifting. Must be able to lift at least 50-75 lbs.

Working Conditions: Employees are regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and occasionally exposed to extreme cold & extreme heat. The noise level is moderately loud.
