Job description

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Automotive (Driveline) Mechanic at Rick Roods Transmission located in Waterville, NS.

The technician's daily responsibilities include:

1. Removal and reinstallation of various automatic transmissions across all makes and models.
2. Servicing all driveline elements of modern vehicles.
3. Servicing and replacing clutch and manual transmission systems.
4. Diagnosing and repairing "Driveline" noise and vibrations.
5. Diagnosing, repairing, and replacing differentials (bearing, gear, and axle).
6. Performing electrical system diagnostics and repairs using DVOM, scope, and scan tools.
7. Reprogramming systems related to engine and transmission operation.
8. Maintaining a clean, organized, and productive work area within their own bay.
9. Working on classic, performance, and special interest vehicles, providing quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Vehicle maintenance and automotive repair skills.
• Owns a toolbox and tools.
• Knowledge of automotive systems maintenance and repair.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Certification in Automotive Technology or related field is an asset but not required.
• Experience in a similar role.
