Job summary

Fountain Tire MacLeod Trail in Calgary is seeking a responsible seasonal Automotive Tire Technician to join a friendly team. You will install, balance, rotate, and repair tires for passenger and light trucks, while maintaining TPMS systems and equipment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience is a plus, but trainee-friendly program available.
• Knowledge of passenger and light truck tires and wheels is an asset.
• Customer-service focus with ability to build relationships with customers and team members.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract are required.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to lift 25 kilograms regularly.

Responsibilities

• Install, balance, rotate, and repair passenger and light truck tires and wheels.
• Reset and repair TPMS systems.
• Maintain tire service equipment on a schedule.
• Perform specialty tire work (studding, retread, run flat, nitrogen, etc.).
• Assist in inventory management and participate in annual counts.
• Maintain a safe work environment for yourself and teammates.

Overview

Conveniently located a few blocks from the Chinook LRT Station, Fountain Tire MacLeod Trail, an established automotive repair shop, is looking for a responsible, safe, and dedicated associate to join our team as a Seasonal Automotive Tire Technician!

You will be responsible for:

• Installing, balancing, rotating, and repairing passenger and light truck tires and wheels
• Resetting and repairing tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS)
• Maintaining tire service equipment on a regularly scheduled basis
• Completing specialty tire work which could include studding, retread, run flat, nitrogen, etc.
• Assist in inventory management through documentation processes and annual inventory counts
• The responsibility to keep yourself and your coworkers safe

What does it take to get on track?

• Someone with previous experience would be great, however we are willing to train motivated individuals with a positive attitude
• A working knowledge of passenger and light truck tires, specialty tire services and wheels is an asset
• A customer-service focus with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with team members and customers
• A keen attention to detail
• Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and provide a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to consistently lift 25 kilograms
