Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, test, and repair vehicle systems using specialized tools and diagnostic equipment
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and inspect critical vehicle components
  • Repair or replace parts as needed
  • Mentor apprentices and maintain a safe, efficient work environment
Daily Tasks
  • Perform vehicle repairs and maintenance efficiently and according to standards
  • Communicate effectively with Parts and Service Advisors
  • Conduct multi-point inspections and recommend repairs
  • Document all work accurately on repair orders
  • Maintain tools inventory and stay updated with factory bulletins and training
  • Provide excellent customer service to foster loyalty
Minimum Qualifications
  • Knowledge of various makes and models
  • Provincially recognized Journeyman Automotive Mechanic Certificate or in process
  • Red Seal Certification (asset)
  • Post-secondary training or courses
  • Professional demeanor, strong work ethic, and communication skills
  • Ability to operate diagnostic equipment
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
