Job summary

Fountain Tire Grande Prairie is seeking a skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our team. You will diagnose malfunctions, perform repairs, and complete scheduled maintenance while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Ideal candidates hold a Red Seal license, have strong automotive knowledge, excellent diagnostic abilities, and superb communication skills to advise customers on repair needs and future maintenance.

Qualifications

• Must be Licensed/Red Seal status in the Automotive Service Technician trade.
• Strong knowledge of automotive industry and skills required to provide mechanical service to our customers.
• A diagnostic specialist that enjoys keeping up with modern technology.
• The successful applicant will have strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Commitment to providing a superior customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction on a customer’s vehicle
• Performing appropriate repairs with accuracy and efficiency
• Completing approved service on customer vehicles
• Testing and adjusting vehicle systems to manufacturer’s performance specifications
• Performing scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications and tune ups
• Advising customers and associates on work performed, general vehicle condition, and future repair requirements
• Maintaining mechanical service equipment on a regularly scheduled basis
• Operating company and customer vehicles in a clean and safe manner
• Supporting customer relationships by responding to customer inquiries
