Job summary

Centennial Nissan Charlottetown is seeking a motivated Automotive Technician for a 3-month contract at Centennial Nissan Charlottetown, PE. The role offers a competitive hourly wage from $28 to $35 and a full-time schedule Monday to Friday 8am-5pm, with some Saturdays 8am-12pm.

You will diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicles, perform routine maintenance, use advanced diagnostic tools, document services, and maintain a clean, safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed Red Seal Endorsement preferred or actively pursuing.
• PEI Motor Vehicle Inspection License is an asset.
• Knowledgeable in vehicle electrical systems and fault diagnostics.
• Excellent standards of quality control and accurate record-keeping.
• Attention to detail ensuring precision in all tasks.
• Strong organizational skills to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and Repair Vehicles: Perform accurate diagnostics, maintenance, and repair services on a wide range of vehicles.
• Perform Routine Maintenance: Oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, filter replacements for longevity.
• Inspect and Test Vehicles: Thorough inspections and test drives to ensure safety and performance.
• Use Diagnostic Tools and Equipment: Utilize diagnostic tools/software to identify and resolve issues.
• Follow Manufacturer Specifications: Adhere to guidelines for highest quality service.
• Document Services and Repairs: Maintain detailed records for customers.
• Maintain Clean and Safe Work Environment: Keep area clean and safe.
• Ongoing training: Update knowledge through training and workshops.
• Collaborate with Team Members: Work with technicians and staff for efficient workflow.

Centennial Nissan, Charlottetown is looking for a motivated individual to join our team as an Automotive Technician for a 3 month contract.

LOCATION: Centennial Nissan, Charlottetown, PE

HOURS: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm and every other Saturday 8am to 12pm.

WAGES: Competitive flat-rate equivalent to $28.00–$35.00 per hour .

APPLICABLE SKILLS:

• Licensed Red Seal Endorsement Certificate is preferred, or
• Must be currently working towards Automotive Technician Red Seal Certificate
• PEI Motor Vehicle Inspection License will be considered an asset

JOB TASKS:

• Diagnose and Repair Vehicles:
  Perform accurate and timely diagnostics, maintenance, and repair services on a wide range of vehicles.
• Perform Routine Maintenance:
  Conduct regular vehicle maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid level checks, and filter replacements to ensure optimal performance and longevity of the vehicles.
• Inspect and Test Vehicles:
  Conduct thorough inspections and test drives to identify mechanical issues and ensure the vehicle's overall condition meets safety and performance standards.
• Use Diagnostic Tools and Equipment:
  Utilize advanced diagnostic tools, software, and equipment to accurately identify and resolve vehicle issues.
• Follow Manufacturer Specifications:
  Adhere to manufacturer guidelines and specifications when performing repairs and maintenance tasks, ensuring the highest quality of service.
• Document Services and Repairs:
  Maintain detailed records of services performed for accurate customer records.
• Maintain Clean and Safe Work Environment:
  Keep the work area clean and organized, following safety protocols
• Ongoing training:
  Continuously update technical knowledge and skills through training, workshops, etc.
• Collaborate with Team Members:
  Work closely with other technicians, service advisors, and dealership staff to ensure efficient workflow and exceptional customer service.
