Your responsibilities
  • Diagnose, test, and repair vehicle systems using specialized tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and inspect critical vehicle components.
  • Mentor apprentices and ensure a safe, efficient work environment.
Daily activities
  • Perform vehicle repairs and maintenance efficiently and accurately per OEM standards.
  • Communicate effectively with Parts and Service Advisors.
  • Conduct multi-point inspections and recommend repairs for safety and reliability.
  • Document all work performed accurately on repair orders.
  • Maintain an inventory of personal tools.
  • Stay updated with factory bulletins and participate in training.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to foster loyalty and increase department revenue.
Must-have qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of various makes and models.
  • Provincially recognized Journeyman Automotive Mechanic Certificate (completed or in process).
  • Red Seal Certification (asset).
  • Post-secondary training or related courses.
  • Professional demeanor, strong work ethic, and communication skills.
  • Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
  • Teamwork and individual work capability.
  • Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
