Job description

At Midas, we are dedicated to providing quality services to customer vehicles in the areas of inspection, diagnosis, and repair, utilizing the expertise attained through years of automotive repair experience. You must hold a valid and current Certificate of Qualification in the province of Ontario.

We are looking for automotive technicians who can work independently as well as collaboratively with peers. We have a full-service facility and seek technicians to help us create an environment of success!

Responsibilities

As a Midas automotive technician, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance, including:

1. Diagnostics using state-of-the-art computer systems
2. Lube oil and filter changes
3. Tire services and repairs
4. Replacing belts and hoses
5. Radiator and engine cooling system repairs
6. Battery, starting, and charging system services
7. Visual safety and courtesy inspections

Qualifications

• Ability to repair vehicles independently and work well in a team environment
• Proven high personal productivity
• Knowledge of safety and environmental standards for repair facilities and adherence to them
• Experience with shop equipment such as lifts, tire changers, alignment machines, and diagnostic tools
• Provincial Certificate of Qualification
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to service both import and domestic vehicles
