Job summary

Richmond Hill Hyundai is seeking a skilled Automotive Service Technician Apprentice in Richmond Hill, ON. This full-time role at 11188 Yonge Street offers hands-on training while working on a range of manufacturer-specified maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, performing brake service, tire work, inspections, and maintaining safety and quality standards in a fast-paced dealership environment. Starting as soon as possible.

Qualifications

• Education: Other trades certificate or diploma or equivalent experience
• 1–2 years of relevant experience
• Hourly Rate: $36.92 per Hour for 40 Hours per week

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and advanced vehicle maintenance and mechanical repairs in accordance with manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
• Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections to identify required maintenance, mechanical issues, and safety concerns, and document findings accurately.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical concerns using diagnostic tools, manufacturer software, and technical service information.
• Obtain, return, and properly tag parts through the Parts Department, ensuring correct part usage and inventory accountability.
• Stay current with manufacturer communications, including FIRFT, Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs), recalls, and warranty policies, and apply updates as required during repairs.
• Perform tire rotations, balancing, mounting, and replacements in accordance with service guidelines.
• Ensure all work meets quality control standards and dealership procedures before vehicle release.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail, time management, and professionalism while working efficiently in a fast-paced service environment.
• Consistently strive to exceed customer expectations by delivering high-quality workmanship and reliable service standards.
• Provide technical guidance and instruction to apprentice technicians.
• Advise customers on work performed and recommend future repair or maintenance requirements while ensuring high standards of customer service.
