Kal Tire in Grande Prairie, Alberta, is seeking a Journeyperson Automotive Service Technician to perform routine maintenance and complex repairs on a variety of vehicles. This full-time role emphasizes safety, quality, and mentoring apprentices in a collaborative shop setting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of general mechanical services including brake and suspension repairs.
• Diagnose and perform engine diagnostics and routine maintenance.
• Mentor apprentices and coach them in a learning-focused environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform a wide range of general mechanical services, including brake and suspension repairs, engine diagnostics, and routine maintenance.
• Mentor and coach apprentices by sharing your expertise and supporting their skill development in a learning-focused environment.
• Collaborate with a skilled team while working on various vehicles, from standard passenger cars to light trucks.
• Identify potential mechanical service opportunities in partnership with the Sales team.
• Maintain the highest standards of safety and quality in all tasks.

Qualifications:

• Fully licensed as an Automotive Service Technician (Journeyperson/Journeyman or Red Seal certified).
• A valid driver’s license.
• Brings a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with front-end brakes, shocks, and wheel alignments.
• Experienced in performing inspections, diagnostics, adjustments, servicing, and repairs on a variety of vehicles.
• Demonstrates excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
