Job summary

Planet Ford, part of Performance Auto Group, is seeking an Automotive Service Apprentice to join a dynamic team in Ontario. You will assist with diagnosing and repairing vehicles to Ford specifications, provide excellent customer service, and help ensure parts are available for repairs.

The role requires 1 year of dealer experience, technician apprentice status, and a proactive attitude. A valid Ontario driver’s license is preferred, with opportunities for career development and benefits

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of automotive dealer experience.
• 1st year or higher Apprentice.
• Previous brand experience and lube tech experience are asset.
• Ability to perform multiple duties in a high-energy environment.
• Mechanical aptitude and interest.

Responsibilities

• Assist with diagnosing and repairing vehicles to Ford specifications.
• Provide customer service by examining vehicles and recommend needed service.
• Ensure all required parts for a repair process are obtained.
• Ensure the shop is clean and tidy and assist Licensed Automotive Technicians when required.
• Follow dealership and manufacturer service guidelines.

Here’s what you’ll deliver:

• Proven knowledge and experience with automotive mechanical operations.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• May be required to work on Saturday as per business needs.Must be team oriented and hardworking

Job Type: Full Time - Permanent

Compensation (expected hourly wage): $18.00 - $22.00 per hour. The starting rate will be set within this range based on job-related factors such as relevant skills and experience.
