Job summary

Performance Kia Mayfield is seeking a team oriented, hardworking Automotive Service Apprentice to join their team.

The role focuses on diagnosing and repairing vehicles to Kia specifications, assisting technicians, and upholding dealership guidelines. Candidates should have at least 2 years of automotive dealer experience, be a 2nd year or higher Apprentice, and hold a valid Ontario driver’s license; weekend work may be required. Competitive wage and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of automotive dealer experience.
• 2nd year or higher Apprentice.
• Previous brand experience and lube tech experience considered an asset.
• Ability to perform multiple duties in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.
• Mechanical aptitude and interest.
• Must be team oriented, hardworking with a positive attitude.
• Must have a valid Ontario Driver's License and good driving record.
• May be required to work on Saturday as per business needs.
• Demonstrated willingness to learn and succeed.
• Follows dealership and manufacturer service guidelines.
• Proven knowledge and experience with automotive mechanical operations.

Responsibilities

• Examine customer vehicles and recommend needed service.
• Ensure the shop is clean and tidy and assist full-time technicians whenever required. Assist assigned technicians as needed.
• Follows dealership and manufacturer service guidelines.

Job Type: Full Time - Permanent

Compensation (expected hourly wage): $20.00 - $23.00 per hour. The starting rate will be set within this range based on job-related factors such as relevant skills and experience.
