Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our Calgary team, specializing in light- and heavy-duty trucks. This full-time position operates Monday to Friday, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with rental fleets and performs a variety of maintenance tasks, from oil changes to engine repairs.

Responsibilities

1. Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on trucks.
2. Conduct oil changes, brake inspections, tire rotations, and engine work.
3. Maintain rental fleet vehicles to safety and performance standards.
4. Document work orders, maintenance logs, and inspection reports accurately.
5. Use and maintain shop tools and equipment properly.
6. Collaborate with team members to prioritize work and meet deadlines.

Minimum Requirements

1. At least 3 years of experience in automotive service, preferably with trucks and fleet vehicles.
2. Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills with independent troubleshooting ability.
3. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
4. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
5. Self-motivated with high attention to detail and quality.
6. Ability to work under pressure with initiative.

Conditions of Employment

1. Journeyman Automotive Technician certification is preferred but not required.
2. Valid Class 5 driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract.
