Job summary

Belron Canada is hiring an Automotive Glass Technician to service the Ottawa area in a state-of-the-art environment. You will replace or repair vehicle glass, calibrate ADAS cameras, and uphold Belron Canada technical standards while delivering high-quality workmanship.

You will be trained on industry-leading tools, enjoy a predictable schedule with an average of 37.5 hours per week, and receive a comprehensive benefits package after starting.

Qualifications

• Be eager and motivated to learn.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs, if needed.
• Have a valid Class 5 or Class G license (Class 7 Novice, or G2 are not considered full driver’s license).
• Be able to drive company vehicle to complete the tasks independently at the client’s site, where required.
• Direct experience in the automotive glass repair and replacement industry is an asset.
• Exceptional attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Foster relationships with customers and team members.
• Repair or replace windshields with skill using industry-leading tools.
• Perform ADAS front camera recalibrations.
• Meet Belron Canada technical standards in glass installation and procedures.
• Adhere to health and safety procedures and company procedures.
• Maintain tools and comply with productivity targets.
• Represent customer interests in internal processes and provide feedback.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Valid driver’s license (Class 5 / Class G)

WHAT YOU’LL DO?

• Foster genuine relationships with your customers and fellow team members.
• You will play a key role in the customer experience by repairing or replacing their windshield with the utmost skill and care using our industry‑leading tools;
• Perform recalibrations of the advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) front camera;
• Consistently meet or exceed Speedy Glass® technical standards in the installation of vehicle glass and other products, and ensure that the company’s quality and other procedures are complied with.
• Adhere to and enforce Belron® International technical standards and work procedures for door, window and windshield repair and replacement.
• Ensure proper tool maintenance.
• Consistently and strictly adhere to company Health and Safety procedures using the safety equipment provided.
• Ensure that you work within company productivity targets.
• Represent the interests of the customer in dealing with our internal procedures, including promptly providing customer feedback and keeping customers informed of the work process being carried out.
• Seek and identify all opportunities to increase sales (add on products) and further develop our business opportunities.
• Always display a high level of professionalism;
• Exercise strong attention to detail in order to add value wherever you can;

Vacancy Status: This opportunity is for an existing role within our organization. Compensation: Range of pay for this role is between $23.50 - $28.00 per hour. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the range of pay. Individual pay is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
