Job summary

Magna International seeks a Designer in Design Engineering for Newmarket, Ontario. Responsibilities include creating and revising complex components and assemblies, supporting engineers, and collaborating across teams to advance vehicle technologies. Proficiency in CATIA V5 is strongly preferred, with a minimum of 4 years in design of automotive components.

The role offers a Regular/Permanent employee status, with a salary range of $60,000–$90,000 annually and on-site work in Newmarket.

Qualifications

• Completion of post-secondary diploma/certificate or degree in Engineering or a related field is required.
• Professional Engineer (P. Eng) designation preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of diversified component and assembly design experience.
• Experience with CATIA V5 strongly preferred.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Create and revise complex components and assemblies.
• Support Project Engineers by generating studies and sketches.
• Collaborates with personnel on product development activities.
• Develops CAD designs (3D & 2D) based on input and guidelines.
• Mentor other Designers and manage CAD changes to ensure accuracy.
