Qualifications

  • Completion of a college program in auto body repair or equivalent experience.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Review damage reports and plan repair work accordingly.
  • Perform auto body repairs including sanding, welding, and painting.
  • Inspect repaired vehicles and ensure proper handling.

Job Details

Location: Mississauga, ON, L5M 1K2
Salary: $28.00 hourly / 35 hours per week
Terms of Employment: Permanent employment, Full time (Day, Evening, Morning, Overtime)
Start Date: Starts as soon as possible
Vacancies: 1 vacancy

Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year

Responsibilities
  1. Review damage report and estimates of repair cost and plan work to be performed
  2. File, grind and sand body surfaces to be repaired
  3. Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting
  4. Hammer out dents, buckles and defects using blocks and hammers
  5. Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills and bolt or weld replacement parts into place
  6. Repair or replace interior components
  7. Repair or replace damaged windows, windshields and sunroofs
  8. Inspect repaired vehicles and test drive vehicles for proper handling
  9. Mix paint, blend and match colors
  10. Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment
