Cognizant in Toronto is seeking an Automation Test Lead with 8+ years of experience in test automation, QA, and test leadership. You will design frameworks in Java, build UI/API automation with Playwright, and own end-to-end testing across projects.

You will collaborate with business and technology stakeholders, produce QA metrics and dashboards for senior leadership, and contribute domain knowledge in Insurance and Wealth Management while supporting CI/CD and Git workflows.

Formación

• 8+ years of experience in Software Testing and Test Automation.
• Strong proficiency in Java, including Streams, Lambdas, Collections, and modern design patterns.
• Hands-on experience in Java-based automation framework development.
• 3+ years with Playwright for UI automation, API testing, and backend validation.
• Solid understanding of test data management and automation best practices.
• Experience with Git, version control systems, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong manual testing skills, including test design, execution, functional validation, and defect lifecycle management.
• Proven ability to lead testing efforts independently and drive deliverables to successful completion.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
• Experience creating QA metrics, status reports, and executive-level quality updates.

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Test Lead with 8+ years of experience in test automation, quality assurance, and test leadership. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in Java-based automation framework development, modern automation tools, and manual testing practices, along with the ability to independently drive testing activities and collaborate effectively with business and technology stakeholders.

In this role, you will

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Java and modern design principles.

Total compensation

We regularly assess market data to ensure we offer a competitive compensation package for our associates. The base salary for this position ranges between CAD 90,000 - 110,000 per year. Where the successful candidate may fall within the range depends on relevant education, work and/or management experience and other business-related and job-necessary qualifications. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual performance-based bonus, as well as benefits that support your physical, mental and financial wellbeing.
