Qualifications

• Minimum college diploma related to instrumentation/electrical/electronic/automation.

Consisting of four locations—the main processing facility located in Brooks, Alberta, where approximately 4,200 head of cattle are harvested and processed daily; the Head Office and a case ready plant, both based in Calgary, Alberta; and JBS Ontario, a case ready plant located in Belleville, Ontario. The JBS Canada facility in Brooks has the capacity to produce products ranging from boxed beef primals, ground beef, beef trimmings, beef by-products and hides which are shipped across Canada and worldwide. You Will

Assist plant production by troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining and providing support for electronics including the following:

• Ability to read and understand technical manuals
• Calibrate and service Metal detectors and weighing scales
• Setup and do minor repairs on Foss meat analyzers
• Setup and repair numerous label printers and applicators
• Install, configure and repair Production data collection devices (scales, terminals, barcode scanners etc.)
• Install and terminate data communication cables
• Install and maintain CCTV cameras
• Install, calibrate and troubleshoot instruments
  
  

Required

• Minimum college diploma related to instrumentation/ electrical/ electronic/ automation.
• Minimum 1 year of Automation technician experience will be an asset.
• Knowledge on VFD, PLC, C++ programing & troubleshooting
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, verbal and written communication skills
• Strong computer skills as well as demonstrated problem solving skills.
• Strong troubleshooting, programming and calibration skills.
