Job summary

Wild Rose Packing Inc. is seeking an Automation Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance on our Taber/Vauxhall, AB site. You will oversee preventative, corrective and emergency maintenance for industrial equipment, develop maintenance schedules and ensure safety compliance.

The role requires strong leadership, mechanical and electrical repair skills, ability to read blueprints, and a proactive, problem-solving approach. This is a weekday, team-based environment with growth potential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in industrial maintenance, manufacturing or process environments.
• Experience with electrical, welding, fabrication and general repairs.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, manuals and schematics.
• Excellent communication, attention to detail and follow-through.
• Journeyperson Millwright/Industrial Mechanic cert is an asset but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative, corrective and emergency maintenance on industrial equipment.
• Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and other systems.
• Install, assemble, align, commission and modify machinery.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs and inspections.
• Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies, parts, tools and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety requirements and regulations.
• Communicate with other departments to improve efficiency and workflow.
• Work independently while maintaining a positive, accountable work environment.

Automation Maintenance Manager

Taber/Vauxhall, AB

Responsibilities:

• Perform Preventative, Corrective, and Emergency Maintenance on Industrial Equipment and Machinery
• Develop and Proactively Maintain Preventative Maintenance Schedules to Ensure Equipment and Facilities are Properly Maintained to Minimize Downtime and Disruption.
• Inspect, Troubleshoot, Diagnose and Repair Electrical, Mechanical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Building, and other Equipment and Systems including Conveyors, Pumps, Motors, Production and Packaging Equipment, and other Industrial Machinery
• Install, Assemble, Align, Commission and modify Machinery and Mechanical Systems
• Maintain Accurate Records of Maintenance Activities, Repairs, Inspections, and Equipment Servicing
• Maintain Inventory of Maintenance Supplies, Parts, Tools, and Equipment
• Maintain Compliance with Company Policies, Health & Safety Requirements, Reporting, and all applicable Regulations
• Maintain Communication with other Departments to ensure Efficiency and Workflow
• Work Independently while Communicating Effectively with other Team Members and Maintaining a Positive and Accountable Work Environment

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 Years Experience in Industrial Maintenance, Manufacturing, or Process Environments
• Experience with Electrical, Welding, Fabrication, Cutting, and General Repairs as Required
• Excellent Leadership Skills and People Management Skills
• Adaptable, Forward Thinking and Level-Headed
• Strong Mechanical Aptitude and Troubleshooting Skills
• Excellent Computer Skills and an Ability to Read and Interpret Mechanical Drawings, Blueprints, Manuals, and Schematics
• Excellent Communication, Attention to Detail and Ability Follow Through
• Solutions Focused, Problem Solving Nature
• Results Oriented, Self-Motivated
• Strong Organization and Time Management Skills while Managing Multiple Priorities in a Fast-Paced Environment

• Journeyperson Millwright / Industrial Mechanic Certification as Asset but not required
