Job summary
CoolIT, an Ecolab company, seeks an Automation Technologist to build, implement, maintain, and support automated manufacturing and test systems for CoolIT products. You will collaborate with Automation Specialists, Engineering, Production, and Maintenance to install, troubleshoot, and sustain automation equipment and PLC-controlled systems.
This role focuses on reliability, test efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives across test activities, with responsibilities spanning automation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical, or related field.
- Experience with high-tech electronics or fluid systems manufacturing is preferred.
- Familiarity with industrial networking protocols and automated testing is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Install, commission, and support automated manufacturing and test equipment.
- Develop, modify, and validate PLCs, HMIs, and control systems.
- Build and troubleshoot electrical panels, sensors, and instrumentation.
- Configure hardware/software interfaces for automated test stations.
- Develop Python-based automation tools for test execution and data collection.
- Support Power BI dashboards with manufacturing and test data.
