Sun Life Financial is seeking an Analyst, Automation Development within the Global Investments Strategic Analytics and Innovation team. You will design, build, test, deploy, and maintain automation and AI-enabled solutions, working with the canonical data layer and writing clean SQL and production code.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of software development, SQL scripting, data engineering, workflow automation, cloud platform development, or a related technical discipline.
• SQL proficiency and Python development experience.
• University degree in a related technical discipline or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy automation solutions using Python, SQL, Power Automate, and AWS Lambda.
• Ensure quality through functional, integration, and edge-case testing; implement logging and monitoring.
• Triage failures, resolve defects, maintain run books, and keep documentation current.
• Assess feasibility, data availability, and integration constraints; identify dependencies and reuse opportunities.
