Job summary

Jordan Engineering Inc. is seeking a dedicated Automation & Controls/System Integrator to join its growing team in Canada.

The role focuses on industrial controls and automation, PLC programming, SCADA and HMI design, integration, and client relationship development. Key responsibilities include designing, configuring, integrating, and validating process control solutions across industries, troubleshooting and commissioning projects, reading electrical schematics, and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

3–7 years hands-on experience in industrial automation and controls.
Proven PLC programming, SCADA/HMI design, and control system commissioning.
Strong troubleshooting across hardware and software environments.
Ability to build long-term client relationships.
Excellent verbal and written communication; able to explain technical concepts.
Aptitude for learning new languages and platforms with ease.
Legally eligible to work in Canada, with a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

Design, configure, and implement PLC, SCADA, and HMI-based process controls.
Troubleshoot, install, commission, and validate automation projects.
Read engineering drawings and electrical schematics.
Identify automation opportunities in workflows and system management tools.
Collaborate with clients and team to meet project goals and deliver solutions.
Provide real-time project updates and clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Mentor junior team members and share knowledge.
