Job summary

RBC is seeking an Automation Analyst to join our RBC Caribbean technology team, supporting Core Banking and Specialized applications. You’ll apply your strong programming foundation to contribute to quality engineering, test automation, and methodologies, focusing on designing automation solutions to enhance quality through early defect detection.

• Familiarity with test automation tools/frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Cucumber, RestAssured, Robot Framework, TestNG) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Knowledge of software testing concepts, including test case design, API/microservices testing, and non-functional testing (e.g., performance, security).
• Analytical mindset with a focus on optimizing testing processes through automation.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop test automation scripts and frameworks under senior guidance, ensuring alignment with RBC’s Quality Engineering practices.
• Contribute to automated test planning and execution for projects, with opportunities to grow into independent planning responsibilities.
• Apply analytical and technical skills to drive defect prevention and early detection initiatives.
• Explore and implement AI-driven testing approaches (e.g., intelligent test generation) as part of team projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create test suites, traceability matrices, and support test walkthroughs.
• Maintain and optimize automation scripts for Core Banking and Specialized applications, partnering with IT and business teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
