Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems is seeking an Installation Technician in Calgary to diagnose, install, and service a range of automated pedestrian doors. You will wire, align, test and upgrade doors, ensuring safety and quality at customer sites while maintaining clear communication with clients and team members.

The role emphasizes 3-5 years in storefront installation, AAADM readiness, and strong mechanical/electrical aptitude within a high-safety environment.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ experience in storefront door installation or relevant industry experience.
• Mechanical aptitude with experience in repairing electro-mechanical devices.
• Knowledge of basic electrical circuits and low-voltage wiring (120v)
• Experience in glazing, storefronts, aluminum frames, and hardware.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform service and installation in accordance with manufacturers’ installation procedures and specifications.
• Document time and complete proper documentation detailing problems, shortages and inefficiencies on job sites.
• Work safely to prevent accidents and protect people and property on site.
• Wear and maintain Personal Protective Equipment when necessary.
• Perform planned maintenance, break-fix repair, and upgrades of automated pedestrian doors at customer locations.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electro-mechanical devices, electrical circuits, and relay logic.
• Work with aluminum frames, glazing materials, hardware, and low-voltage wiring.
• Maintain professional communication with customers, end-users, and contractors.
