The Role

Installation Technician – responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and upgrading a variety of sliding, swinging, and rotating doors to ensure customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform service and installation in accordance with manufacturers’ recommended installation procedures and specifications.
  • Document time spent and complete proper documentation detailing any problems, shortages and inefficiencies in job-site conditions.
  • Perform all work in a safe manner preventing accidents to self, co-workers, contractors, and the public.
  • Wear and maintain all personal protection equipment when necessary.
  • Perform planned maintenance, break‑fix repair, and upgrades of automated pedestrian doors at customer locations.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues involving electromechanical devices, electrical circuits, and relay logic.
  • Work with aluminum frames, glazing materials, hardware, and low-voltage wiring.
  • Maintain professional communication with customers, end‑users, and contractors, providing exceptional service at every interaction.
  • Participate in training programs and maintain AAADM certification.
  • Participate in on‑call rotations after certification and training.
Safety

Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, positioning, and installing door components weighing up to 110 pounds (with lifting aids) on an occasional basis; climbing ladders, kneeling, driving, and working in various positions as required.

What You Will Need
  • 3–5 years’ experience in storefront door installation or related industry experience with glazing, doors, aluminum frames, electrical, glass, automatic doors, hardware, etc.
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience repairing electromechanical devices.
  • Knowledge of basic electrical circuits and low‑voltage (120 V) wiring (access control systems a plus).
  • Experience in glazing, storefronts, aluminum frames, and hardware preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
  • High commitment to safety, customer satisfaction, and teamwork.
  • Ability to lift, bend, and use power tools effectively.
