Job summary

Canusa Automotive Warehousing Inc. (Canusa) | Auto Parts Centres (APC) in Newmarket, ON is seeking a Counterperson/Shipper/Receiver. The role focuses on customer service, parts knowledge, and efficient shipping/receiving operations.

You will manage counter duties, assist customers, dispatch drivers, and maintain inventory while ensuring a clean, organized store. This full-time position offers growth opportunities and a strong team environment.

Qualifications

• Aftermarket automotive parts knowledge/experience required.
• 2+ years of customer service experience required.
• G Driver’s License and clean 3-year abstract required.
• Picking, receiving, shipping, inventory control, and stock maintenance experience is an asset.
• Basic math skills and ability to sort alphanumerically.
• Basic computer skills (Outlook, online database and web-based training).

Responsibilities

• Provide quality customer service and assist customer inquiries both in-person and over the phone using their own automotive knowledge, the company systems and parts catalogues.
• Answer inbound calls and ensure all calls are answered in a professional manner.
• Conduct follow-up calls to customers as necessary.
• Support all store warehouse duties (picking orders, receiving, inventory control, shipping, stocking and organizing).
• Coordinate the drivers for effective dispatching of vehicles.
• Efficiently and safely load auto parts onto delivery vehicles.
• Efficiently deliver parts, being mindful of customer requests.
• Help control inventory and ensure product availability.
• Complete necessary paperwork in an accurate manner.
• Collaborate with the main warehouse to resolve stock-related concerns.
• Maintain a clean and organized store by keeping racking, shelves, pallet areas, workstations and shared spaces neat (organize products, sweep, dust, sanitize and mop).
• Other reasonable duties as assigned by the management team.
