Job description

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring an Auditor for Retail Audit on a permanent basis within our Audit Services team.

This hybrid position is based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, offering opportunities to travel across Western Canada to engage with local Co-ops, build relationships, and participate in hands-on audit work.

What you'll do :

  • Support audit testing related to the conversion of the Co-op Retailing System to JD Edwards.
  • Lead and support moderate complexity audit engagements following appropriate accounting and auditing standards.
  • Provide independent assessments of local Co-operative governance, risk management processes, and internal control systems by performing reviews as assigned.
  • Prepare and complete audit files, document control testing, and communicate weaknesses or improvement areas to the Co-ops Board and management.
  • Assist in preparing financial statements and corporate tax returns.

Who you are :

You are seeking a career in Finance and :

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in business administration or commerce, with a major in accounting or finance preferred.
  • Have 3-6 years of relevant experience in accounting, auditing, or retail operations.
  • Are working towards a professional designation in accounting (CPA) or auditing (CIA); relevant education and experience may also be considered.
