Who you are:

What you'll do:

Reporting to the Audit Principal, you will support the conduct of internal audits and participate in learning activities to develop your competencies for progression within the Internal Audit Team.

Essential Qualifications:

Education:

A university degree and relevant experience or equivalent combination of relevant education and job knowledge as defined in this document.

Language Requirements:

Bilingual imperative with proficiency at BBB level. If you are unsure of your proficiency level, we encourage you to self-assess here .

Experience:

  • Preparing written reports or briefing notes.
  • Conducting preliminary analysis of information and data.
  • Using project management tools to plan, manage and track projects.
  • Experience developing professional relationships with clients and internal and external stakeholders.

Knowledge of:

  • Government of Canada policies, directives and guidance for internal audit.
  • The role of internal audit in the Government of Canada, and trends in the profession Federal acts, regulations affecting the CNSC such as but not limited to the Nuclear Safety and Control Act.
  • Excel and other data analysis tools.

Ability to:

  • Communicate effectively orally and to write in a clear and concise manner.
  • Analyze data and clearly explain the impacts of any trends observed.

  • Knowledge of data analytics methodologies.
  • Experience in evaluation.
  • Eligible to receive professional designation within three years of the position start date in an area such as CPA, CIA, CISA, CFE.
