Job summary

As one of Ottawa’s few Independent dispensing clinics, Hearing Freedom offers the rare opportunity to practice hearing healthcare without limitations and without quotas. Since 2001, its audiologists have enjoyed working in a flexible, friendly environment where patient needs always come first and where they can exercise their professional judgment across all hearing aid and ALD makes & models. At Hearing Freedom, professionals enjoy working with autonomy as well as part of a team. For all clinicians, dispensing clinic hours are regularly offset with ENT support clinics and community outreach efforts. The Managing Audiologist complements this diverse clinical practice with management responsibilities, balancing their overall practice.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of two (2) years of dispensing experience, has diverse product knowledge, an interest in helping manage the clinic, and, is seeking a long-term, full- or part-time (min. 3 days/week), Dispensing Audiology position. The successful candidate will have a Master’s or Doctorate degree in Audiology and be registered and in good standing with CASLPO. A vehicle and a valid driver’s license with appropriate insurance are required. Applicants should apply evidence-based practices for both their assessments and rehabilitative work and have strong interpersonal skills, be flexible, enthusiastic, motivated, hardworking and driven. Bilingualism (French and English) is favored but not necessary.

Note: Though finding a Managing Audiologist is preferred, we will also consider candidates who want to practice Audiology without any management responsibilities.
