Job summary

A prominent hearing healthcare organization in Cape Breton is seeking a dedicated audiologist to join their team. In this role, you will conduct comprehensive audiological assessments, provide recommendations for assistive listening devices, and dispense hearing instruments. The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree in Audiology and be registered with the provincial college. We offer competitive compensation, generous paid time off, and ongoing training.   • Registration in good standing with the applicable Provincial College or professional association.

Responsibilities

  • Complete audiological assessments.
  • Assistive Listening Device recommendations.
  • Hearing instrument evaluations.
  • Hearing instrument fittings and dispensing.
  • Regular client follow-up and rechecks.
  • Cerumen management (if within scope of practice).
  • Counselling and Aural Rehabilitation.
  • Diagnostic testing for an ENT (if applicable).

How You’ll Make an Impact

As a valued member of our team, you will build positive and collaborative relationships throughout the hearing journey for both the clients we service and the teams you will work with. You will join a strong national network of modern hearing care professionals who make a positive impact on the day-to-day lives of Canadians.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Complete audiological assessments
  • Assistive Listening Device recommendations
  • Hearing instrument evaluations
  • Hearing instrument fittings and dispensing
  • Regular client follow-up and hearing instrument rechecks
  • Cerumen management (if within scope of practice)
  • Counselling and Aural Rehabilitation
  • Diagnostic testing for an ENT (if applicable)

In addition to hands-on care, you’ll have opportunities to mentor students and new staff, stay on top of professional credentials and continued education, and engage with the community through presentations and marketing initiatives.
