Job summary

Twine is seeking an experienced audio engineer to lead deployment and commissioning of advanced AV systems at client sites in North York, Canada. This on-site, full-time role requires hands-on technical leadership to ensure installations meet high standards of quality and performance.

You will oversee installation teams, provide direction, test and commission audio/video/control systems, troubleshoot issues, and deliver detailed commissioning reports and client handovers.

Job description

This role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced audio engineer to lead the deployment and commissioning of advanced audiovisual systems at client sites. The position is based on-site in North York, Canada, and requires hands-on technical leadership, ensuring all AV installations meet the highest standards of quality and performance. The successful candidate will oversee installation teams, provide technical direction, and ensure seamless integration and operation of AV equipment in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and support the deployment of audiovisual systems at customer locations
  • Provide technical direction to installers and subcontractors throughout project phases
  • Oversee and verify equipment installation, cable terminations, rack assembly, device mounting, labelling, network connectivity, and power requirements
  • Configure and test system programming and firmware for AV devices
  • Commission systems, including testing of audio, video, cameras, control systems, and end-to-end performance against approved designs
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and interoperability issues to ensure optimal system functionality
  • Prepare detailed commissioning reports and deficiency lists for project documentation
  • Support client demonstrations, acceptance testing, training sessions, and handover processes
  • Address post-installation service escalations and provide technical support as needed
Skills And Requirements
  • Proven experience in leading AV system installations and commissioning in commercial or enterprise environments
  • Strong technical knowledge of audio, video, control systems, and network integration
  • Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting AV hardware and software, including system programming and firmware updates
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and project documentation
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities to coordinate with installers, subcontractors, and clients
  • Experience preparing technical reports and documentation
  • Availability for on-site, full-time contract work in North York, Canada
  • Relevant certifications in AV technology or related fields are an asset
