Hard Rock Ottawa Hotel & Casino is seeking a Foodhall Attendant to deliver exceptional guest service within the casino marketplace cafeteria, ensuring food stations are clean, stocked, and operating efficiently.

You will assist guests with food and beverages, uphold food safety standards, replenish products, and support overall food hall operations in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

This part-time position requires teamwork with culinary and service staff and a neat, professional appearance.

Qualifications

• Duties requiring bending and reaching.
• Lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Standing or moving up to 8+ hours.
• Maintains a well-groomed appearance and follows uniform guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Set up/replenish server stations with polished china, glassware and silverware.
• Set up/replenish server stations with condiments for service.
• Scrape dishes and clear tables as needed.
• Ensure place settings include napkins and polished silverware.
• Utilize trays for pre-bussing & bussing tables with safety in mind.
• Deliver soiled china, glass, and silverware to the dish room; dispose of trash in designated bins.
• Bag and remove soiled linen to designated areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and practice clean-as-you-go.
• Notify management of maintenance issues.
• Complete any additional reasonable requests from management.
• Check with supervisor before leaving at end of shift.

OVERVIEW:

The Foodhall Attendant is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service within the casino marketplace cafeteria by ensuring food stations are clean, stocked, and operating efficiently. This role assists guests with food and beverage selections, maintains food safety and sanitation standards, replenishes products and supplies, and supports overall food hall operations to create a welcoming, safe, and enjoyable dining experience. The Foodhall Attendant works collaboratively with culinary and service teams to provide timely, friendly service while contributing to a positive guest experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Set- up/ Replenish server stations with polished China,glasswareand silverware
• Set- up/ Replenish server stations with condiments for service
• Scraping dishes
• Ensure place settings areappropriate, and each guest has a napkin, polished silverware, and any other item this is part of the standard place setting
• Utilize trays for pre-bussing & bussing tables; all trays are to be organized with safety in mind
• All soiled China, glass and silverware trays are to deliver to dish room; discarding all trash in designated bins
• All soiled linen is to be bagged up and removed todesignatedareas
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the shift, practicing clean as you go procedures
• Notify management of any maintenance repair issues
• Complete anyadditionalreasonable requests by management
• Check with supervisor before leaving at end of shift

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPIERENCE, EDUCATION:

• Performs duties which require bending & reaching
• Lifting & transporting up to 50-pound containers, dish racks, and trashcans
• Standing or moving, for up to 8+ hours
• Ability to turn or twist body parts in a circular motion.
• Maintains a well-groomed appearance
• Follows all uniform guidelines
• Practicesall general safety & sanitation standards
• Remainscalm in a hectic, fast-paced atmosphere
• Demonstratesa high levelof organization, attention-to-detailand a sense-of-urgency
• Displaysa positive and outwardly friendly attitude toward guests and co-workers
• Ableto tolerate exposure to heat, cold, chemicals, and loud/noisy environment.
• Able to work evening shits

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to stand and sit for extended periods of time.
• Ability to walk distances.
• The employee must frequently lift/push/pull and/or move up to 50 pounds.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Duties and responsibilities are typically performed in a highly regulated and controlled environment, but there will be times where you will need to be on the Casino Floor to complete job functions as outlined or pass through this area. On the Casino Floor, you may be exposed to casino-related environmental factors including, but not limited to, excessive noise.
