Job summary

D&H Group LLP Chartered Professional Accountants at 855 Homer Street, Vancouver, BC is seeking an experienced Assurance Manager to join our growing team. This in-person role leads assurance engagements and mentors staff while delivering high-quality services to a diverse client portfolio.

You will oversee engagements, review financial statements for compliance with ASPE, ASNPO and IFRS, and coordinate tax considerations impacting audits.

Qualifications

• CPA designation in good standing
• Minimum 4 years of experience with a focus on assurance services
• Proven leadership experience in managing audit/review teams and engagements
• Strong technical knowledge of ASPE and IFRS
• Working knowledge of Canadian income tax compliance for corporations and individuals
• Proficiency in assurance and tax software, including CaseWare, Taxprep, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage assurance engagements, including audit and review engagements
• Review financial statements and related disclosures to ensure compliance with ASPE, ASNPO and IFRS
• Oversee and review tax filing requirements and considerations that impact the results of the audit and review engagements
• Manage multiple client relationships and act as a trusted advisor to clients by understanding their business needs
• Oversee the work of staff and senior accountants, providing guidance, coaching, and formal performance feedback
• Ensure engagement deliverables are completed on time and in accordance with firm and professional standards
• Participate in the development of firm policies and internal processes to improve service delivery and efficiency
• Lead technical training sessions and contribute to the professional development of team members
