Job summary

BDO Canada invites co-op or intern students to join the Assurance & Accounting team for September 2027, for either 4-month or 8-month terms. You will apply accounting coursework to real client engagements while building professional client relationships.

You will gain experience preparing working papers, financial statements, and notices to reader under regulatory standards, with mentorship and opportunities for learning in a supportive, people-first environment.

Qualifications

• Currently working towards a degree/diploma focused in accounting.
• Desire to provide outstanding client service and a commitment to teamwork.
• Proven leadership skill and initiative to seek understanding.
• Strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently utilize technical knowledge from courses to carry out work projects and assignments.
• Prepare and complete working papers, financial statements, and notice to reader engagements per regulatory standards.
• Gather evidence for Assurance and Accounting engagements.
• Build positive working relationships with clients and respond to requests and suggestions.
• Effectively communicate with team members regarding progress updates and issues.
